- Type WE directional control valves are solenoid operated directional spool valves. They control the start ,stop and direction of low.
- Essentially the directional control valves consist of housing, one or two solenoids, the control spool, and one or two retum springs.
- in the de-energised condition the control spool is held in the neutral or initial position by means of retum springs(except for impulse spool). The control spool is operated by wet pin solenoids.
- To guarantee satisfactory operation care should be taken to ensure that the solenoid chamber is filled with oil.
- The force of the solenoid acts via the plunger on the control spool and pushes this from its neutral position to the required end position. This gives free flow from P to A and B to T and P to V and A to T.
- When solenoid is de-energised, the control spool is retumed to its neutral position by means of retum springs.
- An optional hand emergency, allows movement or the control spool without energising the solenoid.
- Type 4WE 6../OF... (impulse spool, only for symbols A, C and D).
- This design incorporates directional control valves with 2 switching positions, 2 solenoid. and a detent. Both switching position are thus fixed altemately and there is no need to continually energise the solenoid.
